An unusual combination - Macarons and Bourbon - are actually a match made in gourmand heaven. The contrast of the delicate, crunchy macaron with the depth of woodsy, boozy, bourbon richness make this a unique creation that only the house of Nicolai could balance. Opening with an almost citrusy pop of Davana, itself not a citrus but an herb with balsamic facets, brightens the richness of this decidely fall gourmand fragrance. Warming spices of cinnamon and clove add nuance to the rich based of caramel, tonka bean and patchouli. Depth, without going too deep, and gourmand, without going too sweet, Macaron Bourbon is a beautiful composition that will stand the test of time.
 
LP's Take: This gourmand is great for anyone who loves a sweeter style, but on that leans more masucline. Yes, it's still got that bright lightness from the Macaron conception, but the bourbon gives solid depth and the Davana gives rich balsamic notes on top of the (clean) patchouli. It's gonna be our fall GO-TO!
